Brandon J, Day 3

My group was assigned to find an "inspirational" video, and we settled on Invisible Children's "Kony 2012," which was an attempt to muster people to action against the outlaw Kony (he of the abducting-children-for-child-soldiers war crimes).  While the movement failed to garner sufficient popular and governmental support to capture Kony, the video itself was effective at eliciting feelings of outrage and raising funds for Invisible Children.  "Kony 2012" influenced its audience by relating the issue to modern technology; featuring babies and youths; and challenging people to take a more compassionate, cosmopolitan worldview.
