This video makes me completely mad, for a couple reasons. Firstly, the utter and bland intolerance conveyed was obscene. This young woman prides herself on being "a polite American girl" but she shamelessly generalizes an entire ethnicity, of which only an extremely small portion she can see. She refers to her subject's business as "tsunami stuff." That is a ridiculous assumption, not to mention inexcusably racist. Also, her perspective is so warped. She is a white, well-fed, most likely privileged American girl at an excellent university. She sees it as all about herself. The "people" she refers to coming in could be in dire need of assistance. She has no business with their matter. Finally, she uses the absolutely generic label of "Asians." I'm not going to say anything about that. I can go on for longer, but that would make me just as much of a ranter as her.
